Feature · Offer Capping

Offer capping that keeps you inside the advertiser's budget

Advertisers buy a fixed number of leads, installs or sales. Offer caps stop you delivering — and paying for — traffic they will not accept. Set the limit once and AffClix enforces it on every click and conversion, per affiliate or across a group.

  2. Set the limit and periodA number per hour, day, week or month, counted in the time zone you choose for that cap.
  3. Decide who it applies toAll affiliates or a selected list, each affiliate with its own allowance or the whole group sharing one — and all events or only the ones you pick.
  4. Pick the over-cap actionStop the campaign, or keep it running and mark further conversions as pending, approved or rejected.
Capabilities

What offer capping covers

Conversion caps

Limit gross, approved or pending conversions — the cap most advertisers write into an insertion order.

Click caps

Limit gross or unique clicks to protect an advertiser's landing page or a test budget.

Per-affiliate or group caps

Give each partner their own daily allowance, or let a group of partners share one pool.

Include and exclude lists

Apply a cap to named affiliates only, or to everyone except your trusted partners.

Event-scoped caps

Cap only the events that matter — first deposits but not registrations, for example — when a campaign tracks several.

Visible to affiliates, or not

Show a cap in the affiliate portal so partners can pace themselves, or keep it internal.

Who uses it

Who uses offer caps

Affiliate networks

Mirror each advertiser's daily lead budget so over-delivery never turns into unpaid conversions you still owe affiliates for.

Lead-gen and finance programs

Hold conversions past the cap as pending instead of losing them, then approve them if the buyer raises the budget.

In-house programs

Give a new partner a small daily allowance while you assess quality, then lift it for the ones that perform.

Frequently asked questions

What is offer capping in affiliate marketing?

Offer capping limits how much traffic or how many conversions an offer accepts in a period. It keeps delivery inside the advertiser's budget so the network is not left paying affiliates for conversions the advertiser will not pay for.

What happens when a cap is reached?

You choose per cap: stop the campaign, or keep it running and mark further conversions as pending, approved or rejected. Pending is the usual choice when an advertiser may raise the budget later.

Can each affiliate have a different cap?

Yes. A cap can apply to each affiliate individually or to a group that shares one allowance, and it can include or exclude named affiliates.

Which time periods are supported?

Hourly, daily, weekly and monthly, counted in the time zone you set on the cap — so a daily cap can reset at the advertiser's midnight, not yours.

Do caps count rejected conversions?

Only if you want them to. Gross caps count every conversion; approved and pending caps count only conversions in that status, and counts are corrected when a conversion's status changes.
